Flower preorder

Are you like me?  Do you have every intention of buying your child flowers to present after a performance, and then you forget?  This year, we have you covered!

For the first time ever, we will be selling flowers at the Variety Show.   Please go to our preorder page to learn about this new offer.

Red Carpet Sponsors

We had an overwhelming response to our inaugural Red Carpet Sponsorship!  Thank you to this year’s sponsors for supporting our show!  Your sponsorships will go directly to our charity of the year, The Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Please support these local businesses that support our school.  We are truly lucky to live in a community that supports each other in such a manner.

Time to be charitable…

Thank you to everyone for this year’s charity nominations.  We had eight charity nominations submitted, all for very deserving charities.  The PTC Board voted and narrowed down the charities to:  Muscular Dystrophy Association and Buddy’s Place.

Our students created commercials in support of the charities which were shown to the elementary students before the official vote.  The commercials were fun and informative, and extremely helpful in helping the elementary students vote for a charity.

The vote was extremely close (50.8% to 49.2%), but we finally have a winner.  The Muscular Dystrophy Association will receive all proceeds from Highlands’ 2019 production of Highlands Goes Hollywood!

Cover Contest…

We are looking for the artwork that will be on front cover of the Variety Show program.  We want to see your masterpiece!  Please go here for more information and the  entry form.  Submissions are now closed.

Program Book Ads…

It’s time to purchase ads in our show program book!  Congratulate your child, student, friend, or favorite act in the show, or promote your business, while supporting Highlands’ production of the Variety Show.

In the effort of going paperless, this year’s order form for an ad is also online.  Please see the details and instructions to submit your ad.  Orders are now closed.

Are you looking for a great way to reach more customers while supporting your local community?

Highlands’ Variety Show has SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES for you!  Please click here for more information.   Don’t delay!  Sponsorships are now closed.

Calling All Volunteers…

Want to join our committee?  It’s a large event to put on, and we welcome your talents.  We still have some open leadership roles we need to fill, and we need to bring in new talent to keep the Variety Show running in years to come.  If you are interested, please visit this link to sign up.

  • Cover Contest Coordinator:  We hold an annual contest to choose the cover of the program book.  This position would coordinate the contest, including providing the forms to students, gathering all submissions, and presenting them to administration for the vote.  Once a cover is chosen, it needs to be provided to the ad book coordinator, and a large poster of the winning submission created for presentation at the show.
  • Ad Book Sales Coordinator:  The Variety Show creates a program/ad book for the Variety Show.  In addition to listing the acts and participant names, we sell ad space to members of the community and individuals wanting to congratulate their children on the show.  We are looking for someone that will approach businesses in the community and “sell” sponsorship opportunities and ad space in the book.  All proceeds from the ad book support future equipment purchases for the Variety Show committee, which is a branch under the Highlands PTC not-for-profit umbrella.
  • DVD Coordinator:  This position will decide upon the appropriate technology upon which to offer the video of the show, coordinate with the videographers, edit the first pass of the video, and distribute the video.

Can’t commit to a leadership position?  We also need various volunteers leading up the Variety Show and for the night of the show.  Please sign up for a general volunteer position with the Variety Show.  We will contact you and work out a job that fits in with the time you have available and your desired commitment level.

Please contact us with any questions. We would love to hear from you!
